Sunday 23 February – Very Windy!

There were 10 brave souls in the market place this morning splitting into 2 groups. The shorter ride had a destination of Piercebridge.

The remaining 7 riders set out via Evenwood Gate to try and get some shelter in the lanes – this proved a good move and the ride continued via Piercebridge, Eppleby, Whorlton and Barnard Castle where the 5 remaining riders stopped  for a well earned break and talk of a tail wind home. After coffee and discussions it was decided to return via Lartington, Romaldkirk and Eggleston Bank for a true tail wind finish over Folly Top and Woodland. 50 tough miles covered.
