Sunday Rides – 14th February

A very icy morning meant the club had three options.  1. Stay at home and go on the turbo.  2.  Go for a walk.  3. Get out the cross bikes and go ice crunching on the rail trails.

Three members took the later option and covered approximately 35 miles on the Bishop Brandon Rail Trail to Durham, a circuit of Durham via bridle paths, footpaths and the town centre!  Lunch at the Botanical Gardens and a return on the same Rail Trail.

Despite the ice nobody fell off, the only casualty was Keith’s mudguard which disappeared somewhere along the way.

Best wishes to Richard Cowen for a speedy recovery from his recent encounter with a pot hole.
