Sunday 22nd May

In pleasant spring conditions 7 riders set off in bright sunshine and with a slight following breeze with a modest aim of coffee at Piercebridge Farm Cafe.

Pausing only to apply suntan cream and buy icecreams 3 arrived at Piercebridge with the others stopping off to sunbathe and sip cooling drinks.

An uneventful ride with no rain, no strong winds, no punctures and no mechanical issues.

A return journey was via Summerhouse, Ingleton and High Lands.

Note:-  If you believe any of the above you are as daft as those of us who turned out to ride in atrocious conditions to cycle between 35 and 40 miles!

Additional Note:- Richard (our favourite highway patrol man) spent a day at Manchester Velodrome.  See the News Section for full details of  what , was obviously, a great experience

Don’t believe a word of it, that’s why I stayed home and made bacon & egg sandwiches for breakfast to make up for missing cafe stop!
