Sunday Rides – 27th March

Easter Sunday, clocks going forward, strong winds and rain forecast meant that a hard core of 5 turned up at the market place.

To avoid the worst of the weather a low level route to , Piercebridge, Aldbrough St John and Eppleby for coffee stop.   Paul is on a fitness regime and to get extra miles in the ride took in Whorlton, Langton, Ingleton and up to the  Sun Inn at Wackerfield.  A split in the group, two over Lands and others along the bypass.

Torrential rain and hail finished the ride with between 40 and 50 miles covered.

Sunday Rides 20th March

Fiona, Stuart, Graham and Richard rode the Staindrop Time Trial today with good results all round.

The majority of non participants went to watch at Ingleton with a ride home via Paddock Farm, Croft and Piercebridge. (some went for a café stop at Staindrop).

Three others decided to make use of the good weather and headed for the hills via St Johns Chapel over Chapel Fell to Middleton in Teesdale with a return via Middle End Farm and Eggleston.

Appart from those doing the time trial rides covered between 30 and 70 miles.
